Why Hiring a Personal Stylist Can Save your Money and sanity

It may seem like hiring your own personal stylist could be quite a fancy lady thing to do and a luxurious expenditure, but let’s take a closer look is it really?

Before I start quoting facts and research I’ll just use my own experience as a personal stylist. So far, I have not walked into a closet yet where the client wear’s 100% of their cloths or even 50% of their cloths I would estimate more like 20% and then they will proceed to tell me why they do not like most of that 20%!  Within that closet is a mix of un-worn garments with tags still on, possibly a mix of styles from bohemian to gramma cardigans, torn jeans (bought that way) work cloths from jobs gone by, party dress from 10 years ago a mix of sizes that may say you might be Sybil!   Well what’s going on here why does it seem like these women don’t know themselves or their own taste, why do I see this time and time again?  Well I think women are being sold on everything and their buying everything, that’s why trends come and go SOOO fast it keeps you buying it keeps you wanting.  How can we break the cycle and learn what you should spend your money on, what works for your life style how can you stop filling your closet with things you will never wear and things you don’t even want? And stop wasting money and time?

Hire a good personal stylist! A good personal stylist is going to take you through a little therapy, clothing therapy. Were going to figure out what looks good on you, why certain styles will and won’t ever work on you. What colors really work on you, what cuts and lengths are going to work every time?  What should happen with a good stylist? A lot of talking a little shopping and a little more discussion, why?  How will I really get to know you?  Through these conversations you will get to know yourself a little better. A small investment in hiring a Personal Stylist can save you a life time of bad shopping habits, you’re going to learn things about your body type, not some unrealistic ideals of yourself. When you have completed your time with your very own Personal Stylist you should have a closet filled with things you like, things you will wear (all of it) outfits ready to go for any occasion that comes your way. No more frantic last-minute shopping trips the night before the event where you settle, hate what your wearing and never wear it again. How many times in the last 5 years do you think this has happened to you? Try mentally tallying the cost of these shopping trips, now go ahead add up everything in your closet with a tag still attached and un-worn that goes for shoes to. Ok how we are doing, now how about every item sitting there that your waiting for the perfect piece to go with it so you can wear it.  Now a little mental inventory, how much does this stress you out when you go to get dressed?  Have you ever started crying over getting dressed, does it ruin your day? Have you stayed home from an event because of cloths! For the price of probably a quarter of what you tallied and your mental health you could hire a Personal Stylist, yes, I am going to make money, but a good stylist really wants to help you, we want you to take away from the experience a sense of yourself and stop all this madness over cloths. Getting dressed should be a simple pleasure not an agonizing exercise in body loathing.

So, before your next shopping trip consider hiring a personal Stylist we will save you money and probably your sanity.
